Faith

I was at church today for a fundraiser. We were selling jambalaya dinners. At the end, we had about sixty dinners left over. We put the food in the refridgerator for later use and put the trash in the incinerator. As I was watching the flames come out of the top, I thought about what it must have felt like when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were told they were going to be thrown in a furnace. The furnace was just like the incinerator, but it was much much bigger and way, way, way hotter. If I were told I was going to be thrown into that, I would be terrified! However, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego had faith that God would protect them in that fire and they would survive. That is some pretty stong faith! If I even had a little bit of that faith, it would be AMAZING! All this made me think about this: "Do I have enough faith to say God to protect me and watch over me no matter what or do I not trust Him enough?"

faith-confidence or trust in a person or thing or the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved

Think about those definitions. Do we have confidence and trust in God and His promises or do we doubt when we definitely shouldn't?

Dear God,
Help me to have faith in you always. I want to be like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. I want my faith to be super strong. Let me be an example to those around me because of my faith. I love You, God! Help my faith grow!
